Polynucleotides aka salmon sperm facial. The secret to a more youthful appearance.
Harpers Bazaar recently said Polynucleotides are changing the game when it comes to aesthetic injectables, and they weren’t lying!
Polynucleotides use purified fragments of DNA from salmon or trout “milk” (I’ll let your imagination fill in the blanks there…) which boast incredibly effective restorative properties.
So how do they work? “The purpose of injecting the product is to stimulate our own cells to produce some of the things that we lose with ageing,” he explains. Essentially, it “can change the expression of DNA,” Dr. Ward adds. “Polynucleotides boost collagen and elastin by up-regulating the fibroblast cells, as well as improving tissue regeneration and restoring skin tone and elasticity. It has an antioxidant and hydrating effect in addition to the bio-remodelling, therefore resulting in skin that looks and feels healthier,” says Dr. Soni for harpers Bazaar.
Essentially we are replacing old, damaged cells with new ones. The DNA of the fish is so close to that of a human that we accept it as our own and our body does not see it as a foreign body. Once in the skin, the new cells regenerate and promote further new cell growth therefor repairing years of damage.
Here is a brilliant example of just how remarkable polynucleotides or PDRN for short, can be! This client is a smoker who also uses sunbeds, you don’t need to be a scientist to know both of those things are terrible for the skin. The results below are after just one session of my preferred brand Vitaran.
